60th Anniversary Of Tuskegee Airmen's Heroism

This year marks the 60th anniversary of one of USA's greatest military feats ever – an unblemished record of escorting bombers through Europe's hostile skies during World War II without losing one to enemy fire. And it was black folks who did it. The brothas destroyed more than 1,000 German aircraft while smacking down Nazis for the Allied Powers and then returned to USA to fight for our civil rights. Shall we point out that Tuskegee Institute - the airmen's home base - was founded by Booker T. Washington, the inspiration behind this website?
