Spelman College students recently confronted Viacom chiefs to express their frustration with hip hop videos on Black Entertainment Television featuring derogatory images of hyper-sexed, scantily clad black women. This was sparked by a recent Atlanta visit by Nelly to Spelman, arriving to protests. Amen, sistahs! More black folks must speak out about these jiggaboo videos that pimp black culture. Why aren't the big black groups, the feminist groups all over this mess? We'll say it: when BET fell out of black hands (Bob Johnson sold it to Viacom), it went downhill.

Don't absolve Bob just yet. He's still in the mix. Besides, they been runnin booty-jiggle videos on BET since booty-jiggle videos have existed.
