Cosby's Comments Bring Applause From Black Conservatives

Black conservatives praise liberal comedian Bill Cosby for publicly asserting that problems in black communities are mostly due to personal failure, not racism or public policy. E.g., Ward Connerly comments that he's been saying similar stuff for awhile but is called a sellout, yet says "Bill Cosby is in a position to deflect such comments, and I applaud his statements."

We continue to support Cos 95% (we quibble with minor stuff). A side note for black conservatives: Cos has credibility and almost no black conservatives do with most black folks, because Cos doesn't just talk but actually acts. Black conservatives should pay heed here, in building up a constituency to address the issues that Cos outlines. We need to be in communities talking to folks, not throwing grenades over fences. Ceasing to use words like "them" (ain't you black too, Ward?) would help our cause.
