Drawing on military themes while trying to strengthen his black voter support, Sen. John Kerry told black vets that their sacrifices were part of an "unfinished journey" to ensure that blacks need not fight as hard for equality as our forebears did when they returned home from war. Sen. Kerry's speech was a salute to veterans organized by the Congressional Black Caucus.
