Mr. Pitts argues that there's much to learn from the Greatest Generation, in relation to today's world events. For all the ways the world has changed over almost 60 years since World War II, the core of it has not changed at all. He says, "But maybe it's only now, with fanaticism confronting us, that we can finally and fully appreciate them."
