South Korea, U.S. To Discuss Peninsula Troop Reduction

The planned reduction (1/3 of the 37,000 U.S. troops in South Korea) is part of USA's global effort to realign its forces to better respond to emergencies. About damn time! We'd withdraw all 37,000 troops. South Korea should be solely responsible for its defense. It has twice the population and 20x the economic power of North Korea. South Koreans are rabidly anti-American, so why protect these ingrates? Let them deal with Kim Jong Il since they believe USA is more of a threat than the communist North's nuclear program. We've got more pertinent issues to handle.
