Commentary (Creators Syndicate)
Mr. Sowell argues that Bill Cosby and black leaders represent two long-standing differences: the leaders are concerned with protecting the image of blacks, while Mr. Cosby is trying to protect the future of blacks (especially youth). He says what Mr. Cosby said are painful realities and they don't become any less real by hushing them up. Also, that too many black folks are worried with what whites think, instead of just getting to work on reversing the trends. What did Booker Rising say just 2 days ago? Teach, prof!
