Argues the black blogger, about the now-approved over-the-counter availability of the morning-after pill: "So Bush has made a compromise that will result in people leisurely killing the most innocent of lives. Of course rapist and child molesters will be able to buy the pill to kill babies they helped conceive or to prevent conception, but the release of this pill to the open US market presents other issues.....The factor being missed by many is that Plan B is going to take the fornication (sex out of wedlock) culture to another level. Another level as in a level lower and deeper into hell. Because now everyone that wanted to fornicate, but felt inhibited by the consequences of potential conception will now feel less inhibited than ever before. People who found issues with or simply did not posses[s] forms of contraception prior to wanting to fornicate, will now feel they have an option outside of abortion, to free themselves of the responsibilities involved in raising a child."
He continues: "The pro-death community sees this as a way to stop what they call 'unwanted pregnancies', but when God creates a life in the womb, regardless of the means of conception, it is because he wants that life to exists. The Lord of all gives the life and does not see that baby as 'unwanted'. Despite the fact the child may have been conceived in the mist of a sinful act, does not mean God did not establish a plan for that child’s life, that might bring deliverance to those in need. To cut that life short in the womb only causes Man to continue to miss his own blessings.....Plan B will do nothing to curb the fornication culture in America. While Bush’s efforts to encourage abstinence may have helped some teens to decide not to engage in fornication, his endorsement of Plan B totally runs counter to those efforts. Bush feels this move might help his FDA nominee gain Senate approval. But what good is his nominee if it means Liberals’ pro-baby-killing agenda is advanced? This will only cause them to come up with more inventive ways to kill babies and tell the public it’s not an abortifacient (drug that causes abortion), when in some cases it actually is."
My response: So I guess that the later abortion is preferable? And it is not a life, as the pill blocks conception in the first place. This pill can help reduce Black America's out-of-wedlock birth rate, and it is socially irresponsible to keep it off the market when it can help aid our progress. Independent Conservative's claim that "everyone that wanted to fornicate, but felt inhibited by the consequences of potential conception will now feel less inhibited than ever before" is the case, that is just not reality. As current stats already attest...which this pill can help cut. While Plan B may or may not not curb fornication, it can curb the later social costs forced upon the rest of us. Get pragmatic here.
