Angela Winters, a black moderate blogger, discusses controversy about an upcoming television show: "So people are just not going to give up on saying that this stupid show 'Cavemen' (based on the Geico commercial characters) on ABC is racist against blacks.....Now we all know that there are people who say any form of discrimination in a setting that is not reality is somehow maligning black folks. That's what they see because they define our entire race by its victimhood of racism. Everyone else realizes that its a stupid show about how the Cro-Magnon race would function in modern society; poking particular fun at their 'uncivilized' behavior. Remember 'Encino Man' with Pauly Shore and Brendan Fraser where he was a cave-teenager that had been frozen and was found in The Valley. Hilarity ensued I think. Was that racist too? I really don't know what all the fuss is about. This show is going to be cancelled 2/3 of the way through the Pilot episode. Seriously, ABC would have a better chance if they'd done a series on that British Gekko, although I'm sure someone would find a way to say that the Gekko represents blacks and the show is racist as well."
