Police: Black Woman Tortured By Six Whites For A Week

Hat tip to readers Rikyrah and Aaron for alerting me to this outrageous crime. Six West Virginians (pictured) - a mother and son, mother and daughter and two other men - face kidnapping, torture and sexual assault charges. Police went to the site in Big Creek, W.V. after receiving an anonymous tip that Megan Williams was being held against her will.

According to Logan County Sheriff W.E. Hunter, "Upon approaching the place, deputies found Frankie Brewster sitting on the porch. They got to talk to her. She got up and walked toward the door. And a young black lady came to the door and said 'please help me.'" According to the criminal complaint, Frankie Brewster allegedly beat Ms. Williams and forced her to perform sexual acts on her. Bobbie Brewster allegedly sexually assaulted Ms. Williams, forced her to eat dog and rat feces, lick up blood and drink from a toilet. Combs allegedly held a knife and forced the victim to perform oral sex, sexually assaulted and cut her several times. Karen Burton allegedly pulled and cut Ms. William’s hair, choked her and cut her ankle with a knife while uttering a racial slur. Alicia Burton also allegedly pulled out and cut the victim's hair and sliced her with a knife. George Messer allegedly poured hot water over Ms. Williams while she was sexually assaulted by another suspect.

The six suspects are in jail pending bond, and have asked for public defenders. The FBI is investigating whether it is a hate crime. Why is CNN using Megan Williams' name? Because the family says it wants the public to know what happened. Just how the young woman met the six suspects is unclear. They all have a long list of prior arrests.
