State Of The Union Speech

Last night, President George W. Bush gave his final State Of The Union address before the U.S. Congress. The conservative Republican president called on the Democratic-controlled Congress to overcome election-year politics and impose fiscal discipline, prevent the economy from slipping into recession, bolster national security, and stay on the offensive in Iraq.

The thought that kept running through my mind as President Bush rattled off new program after new program was: how are these programs gonna get funded? It is not like President Bush has been fiscally conservative.
