The black moderate blogger writes about new Gov. David Paterson, the first black governor of New York: "The new NY governor was sworn in yesterday and what's the first story that spreads across the media? His plans for NY? His commitment to change? No. Everyone wants to talk about how he and his wife both cheated on other during a 'bad patch' in their marriage. Hey, as long is there weren't any whores involved and money exchanged, I'm minding my own business."
My response: No one is gonna care about this mess. There is no comparison for former Gov. Eliot Spitzer, who Gov. Paterson has replaced. One, Gov. Paterson wasn't doing the illegal act of procuring a prostitute (I don't believe prostitution should even be illegal, but since it is then follow the law), as far as we know. Two, he wasn't prosecuting prostitution rings while sleeping with prostitutes himself. And three, not to mention the cross-state money laundering issues facing former Governor Eliot Spitzer. However, I guess Gov. Paterson wanted to clear the air now.
