It looks like there will be another black governor soon, as New York Lieutenant Governor David Paterson takes over the reins after the New York Times broke that Gov. Eliot Spitzer - the former prosecutor who some folks tipped as America's possible first Jewish U.S. president - is linked to a high-priced prostitution ring called Emperors Club VIP. An FBI wiretap allegedly shows how Spitzer paid to transport a prostitute from New York to Washington, D.C.
When hearing this news, I immediately thought of Rudy Giuliani. I can see him running for New York governor in 2010, in order to keep himself in the public eye if he still has presidential aspirations. I also wondered if Spitzer remains a superdelegate for the Democratic National Convention after he resigns?

I've heard it reported that Spitzer loses his superdelegate status and that Paterson does not get it. That superdelegate spot is just gone.
