"Humble Pie" Poem

As promised, I have composed a "humble pie" post because I incorrectly predicted that Sen. Hillary Clinton would secure the Democratic nomination. While Sen. Barack Obama is the presumptive nominee and it is not official until the Democratic National Convention in August, I am keeping my word. Here goes:

O Barack Obama,
You're the apple of my eye
Now that you're the Dem nominee
And I have to eat humble pie

You beat Hillary Clinton
That's no lie
Despite your radical preacher
That controversial Omega Psi Phi

You're liberal, but cute
That smile, oh my
Beating my expectations
For the presidency, you vie

You're not even taking public financing
In order to raise funds to the sky
Because you're the "messiah"
Obama, sweetie guy

Because I lost the bet
I wanna sigh
Luckily I didn't bet money
Or I'd have to cry
