The conservative Republican commentator chides Christians for failing en masse to shun the public education system, in response to a California proposition that may allow even kindergarten children to learn about gay marriage among other sexuality-related topics: "My position pursuant to this is unchanging – let them have their public schools to teach anything they want. The public school system, and those who advocate such, deserve one another. But to my point, I reserve the depth of my ire for Christendom, and to a lesser degree, those who claim to be offended by the indoctrination and lack of learning taking place in most public schools. It is time for Christendom to step up and put their dollars where they claim their faith is, i.e., into action. Christendom has the financial wherewithal to make a definitive difference, but instead we whine and engage in worthless battles I am convinced ultimately aide the enemy more than they advance the 'Kingdom' – because said battles have no eternal impact. There is no reason, zip-nada-none, that Christian individuals, businesses, groups and by all means churches, cannot sponsor children to private Christian schools and/or private secular schools that do not accept government dollars, and that teach sound academic principles and traditional American values. It would take little creativity and energy (in context) to rescue children from the pissiors of decadence and illiteracy into which public schools have devolved. Every church that claims the name Christian should be involved in 'Kingdom' building vis-à-vis the proper educating of tomorrow's future. Such should also be true of those who claim a shared concern, even if not for theological reasons."
He continues his commentary: "Major corporations and wealthy industrialists like Bill Gates invest in public schools to no avail, unless failure and educational midgets are the desired goal. Oprah opens schools in Africa, but those of us who can make a difference waste money and time fighting for issues we could resolve just by extricating children from said system. The erosion of our future is taking place under our collective noses, but due to misplaced trust, ignorance and the unfortunate inability of many caring parents to afford private schooling, children are at the mercy of the diabolical agendas of social-engineering elites – while we reach for the equivalent of air fresheners to cover the stench."
