The Black Republican PAC has announced the two-week ad buy in the Dayton, Ohio, media market - Ohio is a swing state for the U.S. presidential election - for a TV ad released today while the Democratic National Convention is underway in Denver.
The 30-second ad, entitled "History," criticizes the liberal Illinois Democrat for voting in favor of increasing taxes on anyone making more than $32,000 or more, voting against the "Born Alive Infant Protection Act" outlawing what the group calls infanticide and his willingness to unconditionally meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
"Barack Obama's own history shows us what kind of President he would make", said Black Republican PAC's Glenn McCall, the only black Republican National Committeeman in the U.S., in a news release sent to Booker Rising. "Barack Obama's candidacy has made history, but we can't afford the type of history he would make as President," he added.
To view the ad, click here. Booker Rising must confess: ain't ever heard of this group before, but the ad is stirring up the blogosphere.
UPDATE: I got word that the National Black Republican Association has 50 "MLK Was A Republican" billboards around Denver. The NBRA says in its news release: "They are a reminder -- Obama is no MLK."
