The Obama campaign has will.i.am of Black-Eyed Peas, the McCain campaign now has Lloyd Marcus of Deltona, Florida. Mr. Marcus is part of the Our Country Deserves Better tour, which is holding 35 rallies in key states and an accompanying television campaign in favor of the McCain-Palin ticket.
Mr. Marcus has done a remake of Hall & Oates' 1976 hit, "Sara Smile". His version, "Sarah Smile", changes the lyrics to tout vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin and is making the rounds in the center-right blogosphere:
I like Hall & Oates' original version, and musically I like Mr. Marcus' version as well. I blogged from the Republican National Convention, so I heard a lot of country and Christian singers. This would have added some diversity to the convention's musical lineup. One of my older cousins, who has Bush Derangement Syndrome, is a staunch Barack Obama supporter, was a fervent Hall & Oates fan back in our youth and is a fabulous singer, is gonna hate this remake though.
Mr. Marcus has also penned a song called "United We Stand" , about the 9/11 terrorist attacks on USA.
