Here is the second single off Q-Tip's latest CD, The Renaissance, which was released on Election Day. Folks may remember the 38-year-old rapper from A Tribe Called Quest. The video, which was also officially released on Election Day on BET, samples Michael Jackson's "Rock With You" (1979):
I like "Move". It is definitely better than "Getting Up", Q-Tip's first single, to which I was lukewarm. Even from the grave, the late producer J Dilla is outdoing most of his peers on "Move". Q-Tip could've done more with the video's aesthetics, but perhaps he didn't have much of a budget. I see that the song unfortunately is not on the R&B/hip hop charts yet. Will "Move" hit the chart?
