An Australian woman whom I met a few months ago clued me in about Pandora.com. Type in a musical act or song, and you can create a radio station features similar acts or songs. You can vote on whether you like or dislike a song, which is taken into account for future selections. Apparently I especially favor songs with minor key tonality, across music genres. In soul music, I like a subtle (not high) use of vocal harmony in songs, repetitive but intricate melodic phrasing, and extensive vamping. Pandora.com also brought up new acts for me, and songs that I had long forgotten or didn’t realize who actually did the song.
