Last night, TMZ posted a photo purported to be of singer Rihanna after boyfriend singer Chris Brown allegedly beat her. The early police reports were accurate that this was a clear case of abuse: you can see the bruises on her lips, nose, cheeks, blackened eyes, and forehead. You may recall that this beatdown occurred the night of the Grammy Awards, where they canceled their appearances at the last minute. And yes, Rihanna does have that tattoo on her left shoulder.
I am hardly a fan of Rihanna's music, but I am sympathetic here. Chris Brown should not skate just because he is a star. My tween cousin is a big fan of Chris Brown. Needless to say, she will receive no Chris Brown-related gifts from me. He belongs in jail.
I hope that stories that Rihanna plans to go back to Chris Brown are false. Do not return to this bastard. Girl, listen to your family. RiRi, you deserve better and can do better!
