Another Unjust Sentence?

Asks Katrina, a black conservative blogger: "There sure is something wrong with the justice system these days. As we found out [recently], singer Chris Brown plead guilty to felony charges pending from the incident with singer and ex-girlfriend Rhianna. At least he admitted to doing something wrong, but the California prosecutor, who charged Brown with those felonies, may have let Brown of easy. I am unsure if this is easy, harsh, or just right. Brown received no time behind bars. Brown was sentenced to 180 hours of labor in Virginia, 5 years probation, and a year of domestic abuse classes. Why is it our society doesn’t care enough about domestic violence? It doesn’t matter what a person does, there is no legal reason to beat up another individual. Domestic violence is something I don’t take lightly and the prosecutor should have stayed consistent with other cases of domestic abuse. This has just shown our youngsters that it is okay to beat up someone and you won’t go to jail. This is a very disturbing message to be sending to our kids, especially young girls. I’ve been reading some of the comments about this case on other sites and I can’t believe some of the comments people are saying. A couple of people are blaming Rhianna and think Brown was simply 'just finishing what she started'. Really? You can’t beat someone to a bloody pulp because they started something. At any rate, this is an article that shows a lot of recent sentences for celebrities and debates this question."
