BODY LANGUAGE ANALYSIS: Do The Black Cambridge Cops Really Support Sgt. James Crowley?

This CNN video clip of Cambridge police officers includes Sgt. Leon Lashley, the black cop who was later on the scene during the Henry Louis Gates incident. Kelly King, a black cop who was not on the scene but who has known Sgt. Crowley for more than 11 years, is also interviewed:

Sgt. Lashley Says: "This Wasn't A Racially Motivated Situation"
His True Belief: "I Don't Know...Possibly"

Notice that Sgt. Leon Lashley (:28-:33 mark) does several left shoulder shrugs right right before and as he states that this situation was not a racially motivated situation. Shoulder shrugs are a gestural emblem indicating "I have no confidence in what I'm saying". In addition, Sgt. Lashey's head shakes yes and no (:33 mark) as he claims that "this situation here was not racial motivated situation". Given the totality of his body language, his true belief is that he's unsure if it was a factor but thinks it possibly could have been a factor.

Sgt. Lashley Says: "Sgt. Crowley Isn't A Rogue Cop. He Was Doing His Job"
His True Belief: "Sgt. Crowley Isn't A Rogue Cop. He Was Doing His Job"

He is body-congruent when making this claim. I.e., that is his true belief.

A Body Language Note About Sgt. Crowley

What I also find interesting is Sgt. James Crowley's face in the background, while Sgt. Leon Lashley is talking about how there have been previous racial incidents between white cops & blacks in Cambridge. Crowley pushes his lips out three times (:24-:34 mark) during this statement, which is a sign of contempt. It is unclear whether Sgt. Crowley's contempt is for racial situations having happened in the past in Cambridge (because he does a nod while Sgt. Lashley says they've happened) or doesn't like Sgt. Lashley talking about them. Earlier, he also pushes his lips out when Lashley refers to him as a "white officer".

Kelly King: "Crowley Is A Good Cop, Has Good Character. These Charges Are Bogus"
Her True Belief: "He's A Good Cop, Has Good Character. These Charges Are Bogus"

She is verbal-body congruent when making this claim, so it's her genuine belief.

Yesterday, I analyzed Kelly King, but with a partial CNN clip
. In that clip, I noticed that she was verbal-body congruent except for one comment not directly related to the Gates case. I did mention though that at the very beginning of the clip that I had analyzed, while Ms. King states that "there has been a tremendous rush to judgment", it looks like her head is shaking no. If she believed so, her head would be shaking yes. However the video starts right into her answer so I can't tell for sure. Even with this extended clip, it's still hard for me to say for certain that she's shaking her head no (which would indicated mixed feelings), because of CNN's editing.

My overall assessment is that Kelly King pretty much supports her friend Sgt. Crowley. However, Sgt. Lashley has some doubts.
