Things are heating up in Honduras, with Honduras opting to leave the Organization of American States rather than meet the OAS' ultimatum of restoring ousted president Manuel Zelaya, who illegally pushed for a constitutional referendum to extend his term in power. The Honduran government accuses Nicaragua of building up troops along its border in order to facilitate the return of Mr. Zelaya. Military vehicles blocked the runway (pictured) to prevent his plane from landing in Honduras - forcing his plane to go to Nicaragua - shortly after troops clashed with his supporters who attempted to break into the airport, killing two, according to police.
African American Conservatives writes on Twitter: "What is it about Zelaya's loss of power that it necessitates the personal involvement of 7 presidents, including ours, to return him to it?"
DarkKnight, a conservative Republican, writes on Twitter: "OAS expels Honduras for 'unconstitutional interruption of democratic order', yet offers membership to Cuba."
Kenneth Durden, a libertaria-conservative, writes on Twitter: "People of Honduras. Fight to keep Hugo Chavez' socialist lapdog out. Ignore Mr. Obama for he doesn't appreciate freedom". More from Mr. Durden: "Viva la constitucion! We hope. But the people elected that loon Zelaya in the first place. When will people learn? O?"
