A still photo from the G8 summit of U.S. President Barack Obama and French President Nicolas Sarkozy seemingly checking out the booty of Mayara Tavares - a 16-year-old representing Brazil at the Jr. G8 summit, and who is an activist for children and teenagers' rights - has been spreading like wildfire on the Internet. However, a video clip shows that it was an innocent moment....at least on the part of President Obama, who was being a gentleman by helping the young black female standing behind him get down a large step:

A bookerista responds: Bob Parks, a conservative Republican commentator, writes about the media's response to the photo's buzz: "Regardless if Barack Obama was in one of those 'I gotta get me some of that' moments (or it was something more innocent), watching the media protect their presidential baby is as amusing as the topic itself....Look, chances are this is a completely innocent situation. But if it's even possible to show Barack Obama as anything but godlike to these people, why pass up the opportunity, and let the mental contortions begin."

First I want to thank you for the video. I thought that perhaps the still image might not tell the whole story, That often happens with still images, they have no context. You can't see what happened before or after. However, after watching the video this is what I saw. Obama was intending to help the woman behind him down the steps, but then got an eyeful of the girl's behind. Allowed his gaze to liner (he doesn't look at the woman he's helping for a long time) but wasn't on the hunt like it's being portrayed. Sarkozy on the other hand is a hound.
