The "Disconnectedness" Of Louis Farrakhan's "Don't Be Pacified" Speech

Constructive Feedback, a conservative blogger in Atlanta metro, Ga., writes: "Farrakhan: Don't be 'pacified' by Obama election Louis Farrakhan tells Black Americans that we should not be lulled into a sense of complacency over the political victory in the presence of President Obama in office. Instead we have a lot of work within our communities that are necessary to rebuild them. The curious part of this to me is that Minister Farrakhan fails to make note that in these very same communities that he speaks about - the same machine that is now in control over the White House ALSO is in control over these communities that need a lot of work. The Black people in these communities have long looked past the gross problems that are WITHIN, choosing to leave their management stations and instead take their positions at the battle stations so that the external fight could be executed upon those who serve as more popular adversaries for Black people. As usual the Black Establishment suffers no consequences for their past decisions. Progressives simply point toward the direction forward and get the troops to fall in line. They are loathed to talk about the land that they have already trampled over, having already assumed control over all of the institutions. The very institutions that are in crisis."

He continues his commentary: "The Black community is into Advocacy, Protests and Voting. Some of the basic elements of Human Resource Management appear to be lacking. The propensity to have the operat[iv]es who stand on stage and summarize our present condition as a function of the RACISM that remains in our society is part and parcel of the ineffectiveness that reigns. This claim effectively absolves the leadership that is now in control over every single institution that our community looks toward for our civic services. RACISM means that 'we were collectively walking down the street, minding our own business, and some assailant came along and physically molested us in some way'. We were doing the right thing - THEY WERE DOING WRONG. The call is for the forces that control the greater society to come and fix the basic operating rules that both parties must work with so that THIS FIX to those who violate us will allow us to prosper as we simply do what we have already been doing. Gone is the call for introspection so that we might have better results."

More: "Thus I am forced to REJECT Minister Farrakhan's framing of the issues. He knows as well as I do that there are some major dysfunctions that are present within our community that need to be disassembled. Minister Farrakhan, instead is apparently intent on having these threats welcomed as 'guests of honor' at his Saviors Day speeches. Some devils can't be converted toward doing the right think over broken bread."

What is he disconnected from?

I share the same sentiments as the last writer. Where is the disconnect. The Minister is just simply telling us don't be pacified or lulled to sleep. While President Obama is in office not POWER.
