USA: Pastor Manning Visited By CIA, Expects To Be Arrested
The firebrand conservative pastor in Harlem claims that on Monday evening, CIA agents and local detectives visited his church to ask him questions about critical statements that he has made about U.S. President Barack Obama (hat tip: Interactions West). More specifically, his claim that President Obama allegedly hasn't resolved the birth certificate issue (Pastor Manning argues that President Obama is "an illegal alien and is not qualified to be the U.S. president. To spend all of my energy and time to overthrow this evil that has entered into our world. As an American patriot, I'm compelled to fight to restore our republic and its Constitution."
Yeah, talking about overthrow in the context of the U.S. presidency is treason, and will get you put in jail. The government don't play that at all....
Britain: James Cleverly: Heading Upstream?
Operation Black Vote says the London Assemblyman & Youth Ambassador and Conservative Party member "is eyeing up two plum Westminster [parliamentary] seats on the outskirts of the capital." Mr. Cleverly told OBV: "I always wanted to have a crack at the [House of] Commons, and these seats are in my neck of the woods. But as you can imagine, they are going to be very hotly contested." OBV adds: "As a long term resident in the suburbs of south-east London, Cleverly seems to be ideally positioned. He is highly regarded by the mayor and chairs the health and public services committee. Cleverly has also built up a formidable public profile, and is often seen representing City Hall on television. We wish him the best of luck!"
The Guardian reports: "I've just been told by a helpful fellow journalist that Cleverly has not made the shortlist for the Beckenham seat. Better luck with the other one [Orpington], James."
