The moderate-conservative chairman of the Republican National Committee opines about this week's Israeli/Palestinian talks at the White House: "I am concerned that President Obama has pressed the 'reset' button on our nation’s historic relationship with Israel – how else does one explain his disrespectful treatment of Prime Minister Netanyahu, joining the U.N. resolution condemning Israel’s enforcement of a defensive blockade of Gaza, and rejoining the questionable U.N. 'Human Rights Council' that the Bush Administration had rightly boycotted because it is led by the likes of Cuba, and issued more condemnations against Israel than all other countries combined? Through Presidents and Congresses of both political parties, a strong U.S.-Israel partnership has been a tenet of U.S. foreign policy. President Obama has given us a host of reasons to suspect that this precedent is being broken."
