It's Day 31 of the fundraising campaign. Booker Rising has met 93.8% ($1,595) of its goal! Thanks to past donors for being such an important influence on my blog's program.
I normally hold Booker Rising's second fundraising drive of the year in November. However, I'd like to unveil a redesigned blog on January 1, 2012 for next year's election cycle. To enable me to have enough time in which to raise the necessary funds and give the web designer sufficient time to redesign the blog by the end of the year, I've pushed up the second fundraising campaign up a few weeks.
This year, Booker Rising celebrated its 7th birthday. The blog was last redesigned (its first design) in 2008. Of course, a web redesign costs money. To redesign the blog in the way that I'd like to redesign it, the cost is $2,500. Since I already have some advertising money and money from the fundraising drive earlier this year, that leaves $1,700 left to raise.
Booker Rising is the only one-stop source on the Internet to stay updated on the global black center-right, from America to Zimbabwe. It's the go-to source for black center-right news, amid a vast sea of black center-left news sources. If only 6 of my readers contribute $20, then Booker Rising's blog redesign can get underway (and the earlier that I can provide donors with a "sneak peek" at the redesign).
