6/12 Video Of The Day: White Libertarians Ask: "Where Are The Black Libertarians?"

Nick Gillespie and Matt Welch of Reason answer a question from a reader. They are the authors of The Declaration of Independents: How Libertarian Politics Can Fix What's Wrong With America, which is coming out in paperback later this month:

See, this is why Booker Rising is a valuable resource. Of course, Booker Rising itself is run by a libertarian-conservative, as that's my ideological slant. Here are black libertarian resources from around the world. As you can see, black libertarians are active in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, USA, Zambia, and Zimbabwe:

    Black Libertarian - Other Resources

Temba Nolutshungu, the director of the Free Market Foundation of Southern Africa (South Africa) does op-eds every now and then about libertarian-related issues. So does Ayanda Khumalo, who sits on the organization's board. Booker Rising helps publicize their work outside of South Africa.

Rejoice Ngwenya, the founder of the Coalition for Market and Liberal Solutions (Zimbabwe), contributes to Voice of America's broadcasts in Zimbabwe. He also writes op-eds....that is, when the dictatorial Zimbabwean government isn't cracking down on him for his anti-Mugabe views. Both AfricanLiberty.org and Booker Rising publicize his work outside of Zimbabwe.
