From OneNewsNow: "A conservative black organization is calling the Obama administration to task for trying to play the race card in the Eric Holder contempt citation debate. Attorney General Eric Holder faces a possible [c]ontempt of Congress citation for his continued stonewalling in the investigation into the failed federal gun-smuggling sting known as 'Operation Fast and Furious.'"
The article continues: "Horace Cooper is a former constitutional law professor and a spokesman for the Project 21 Black Leadership Network. He says now Obama administration defenders are trying to make the Holder issue racial. Cooper said during a recent broadcast on MSNBC's Hardball, liberal commentator Chris Matthews led former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown into saying that the proceeding against Holder 'has some racial flavor to it.' 'The idea that race explains the conflict that Eric Holder and the Department of Justice are having with the House of Representatives is ridiculous,' Cooper says. 'There is a legitimate inquiry [over] the loss of life of an agent and a serious concern about who made what decisions and when they were made. It is cynical on the part of some to try to say that this has something to do with Mr. Holder's skin color.'"
