From Politico, about the moderate-liberal Democratic mayor of Newark, N.J.: "Newark Mayor Cory Booker has told Democratic Party county chairs that he is considering a run for governor in 2013, according to the New York Observer’s Politicker NJ. Booker and his political consultant Mark Matzen have been taking meetings and have suggested that the mayor will make a decision on the run by December. If he decides to run, he’ll likely face incumbent Gov. Chris Christie in 2013."
