The one minute, 47-second ad is titled 'For Artur Davis, It’s All About Artur Davis.' As Davis speaks, a series of captions pop up across the screen touting Obama’s record and painting Davis as a hypocrite. 'Artur Davis's [upcoming] speech at the GOP convention isn't about Barack Obama,' the ad concludes. 'It's about Artur Davis.'
Y'all know that Mr. Davis has a response: "Davis, who has sparred with Alabama Democrats in recent days, said the ad demonstrates that his criticism of his former party is gaining traction. 'My old Democratic friends are reminding me of an old rule: in politics, if you fear someone is getting through and people are listening, attack them as fast as you can,' Davis told the Press-Register. 'I do wish they had not reminded me that I have gained weight in four years.'"
