| Rep. Terri Sewell |
Never mind that the moderate Republican brotha hasn't even delivered the speech yet. So many black liberals just aren't sophisticated enough to handle ideological diversity. From the Birmingham News: "Democrat Rep. Terri Sewell, who took Artur Davis' seat from Alabama's 7th Congressional District, is strongly
criticizing Davis less than a week before the newly minted Republican speaks to the GOP convention where he will endorse Mitt Romney."
The article continues: "'I supported President Obama in 2008 and I remain convinced now more than ever that he is the best choice to lead this nation and the only hope for greater opportunities and resources for this congressional district,' Sewell said in a prepared statement released by her campaign office. How anyone who has had the great privilege of representing the people of this district could think otherwise is beyond comprehension and politically dishonest,'
added Sewell in a clear shot at Davis, who represented the district for eight years as a Democrat but who earlier this year switch allegiances to the GOP."

Now you know Mr. Davis wasn't gonna let Rep. Sewell's diss go unanswered. He has a fiery response: "Davis shot back at Sewell in equally strong words. 'I agree with the congresswoman that her lockstep support of the administration is her calling card and may serve her own short-term interests well,' Davis responded in an email. 'With luck, it will mask a poor record of serving a full term with no substantive bills introduced, much less passed and no economic development initiatives to speak of. My guess is that the 7th district can and eventually will do better than the invisible leadership it has today.'"
