7:00pm ET, USA: Mia Love Gives Speech At Republican National Convention In Florida
As regular Booker Rising readers know, the conservative Republican is running for the U.S. Congress in Utah. Ms. Love, the daughter of Haitian immigrants and the former mayor of Saratoga Springs, Utah, will probably highlight her family's journey to America and criticize U.S. President Barack Obama's economic policies in her speech in Tampa. Look for Ms. Love to use her convention speech (much like our now-president did back at the 2004 Democratic National Convention) as a platform to raise her national political profile.
9:00pm ET, USA: Artur Davis Gives Speech At Republican National Convention In Florida
Of course, folks know Mr. Davis as the moderate former U.S. Congressman who switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party earlier this year. I'm sure the Democratic Party's Rapid Response team will be all over this speech, and will send their response to my (and others') email inbox within minutes after he's done. Look for Mr. Davis to tailor his speech towards disgruntled Obama supporters contemplating crossing over to support Mitt Romney and independent voters.
