Savannah, a conservative blogger in North Carolina, highlights news that America's national debt is now $16 trillion under Obama's tenure: "Bush nearly doubled the debt from $5.76 trillion to $10.62 trillion.
Obama went from that to $16 trillion. One could say Bush did worse, and
one may be right. However, Bush's debt was accumulated over eight years,
not three years and seven months like Obama. On average, Bush added
about $607 billion every year. Obama has added over $1 trillion
every year. Either way, Obama has accumulated more debt than Bush and he
did it in less than half the time. Unless you live on the other side of
the looking glass, $16 trillion is not better than $10.62 trillion. The blame [B]ush' isn't going to work. Save it."
More: "All the time I hear 'Obama inherited...' and whatever else. Obama didn't
inherit a bad situation. He bought it with campaign money. He asked for
it, asked America to give it to him; and on January 20, 2009, he
accepted it. Obama's the boss now and it's his responsibility, not
Bush's. It's time to move on from that and treat Obama like an adult and
hold him accountable. Giving Obama four more years isn't going to make
things better because Obama fails to see what he's done wrong."
