I'm not even a Palin fan, but folks are too damn sensitive (or good at feigning sensitivity). This "controversy" ensued when the conservative Republican put up a Facebook post on Wednesday entitled, "Obama’s Shuck and Jive Ends With Benghazi Lies.” She stated: “Why the cover up? Why the dissembling about the cause of the
murder of our ambassador on the anniversary of the worst terrorist
attacks on American soil? We deserve answers to this. President Obama’s
shuck and jive shtick with these Benghazi lies must end.” Bookeristas weigh in on the ensuing fallout:
YES: Raynard Jackson: "Palin Is Ignorant"
Asserts the moderate Republican political consultant in D.C.: "When Palin makes statements like this, it’s the personification of
everything that is wrong with the Republican brand. Since there is
absolutely no diversity within the party, there is no opportunity to see
things through a different set of eyes. This leads many black people to
conclude that the Republican Party doesn’t care and has no interest in
learning to appreciate people who come from different walks of life."
NO: Kevin Fobbs: "Palin Is Guilty Of Nothing That Her Liberal Critics Haven't Also Done"
Asserts the conservative Republican commentator in Michigan: "What about New Governor Andrew Cuomo, who while New York Attorney
General, in 2008 targeted [D]emocrat presidential candidate U.S. Senator
Barack Obama for his all too frequent side stepping of the facts? Out
of frustration, Cuomo blasted Obama in a radio interview by stating, 'You can’t shuck and jive at a press conference!' Where were the liberal siren and alarm bells in 2008? Where was
Chris Matthew’s denunciation or even Rev. Jesse Jackson, or the other
liberal pundits?"
Bookerista Debate: Was Sarah Palin's "Shuck & Jive" Comment A Racist Statement Against Obama?
