| Newark Mayor Cory Booker |
Good news for the moderate-liberal Democrat's possible gubernatorial candidacy in 2013, especially after you take the probable 3% poll margin of error into account. From The Wall Street Journal: "Newark Mayor Cory Booker would be in striking range of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie if he chooses to run against the popular governor in 2013, according to a new poll. Christie would lead Booker by four percentage points in a
hypothetical head-to-head race next year, with 46% of registered voters
in a Quinnipiac University Polling Institute survey backing the
Republican governor compared to 42% favoring the Democratic mayor."
More: "Booker received the most support from Democrats, urban voters, women
and those with a college degree. Christie had a comfortable lead among
men, Republicans, independents and those earning at least $250,000."
