Black Newspaper Publisher Endorses Romney

Rufus Friday
From TheRoot.com: "The publisher and president of the Lexington (Ky.) Herald-Leader became one of [the] few prominent African Americans to publicly support Mitt Romney for president Sunday when the paper's editorial board disclosed that Rufus M. Friday disagreed with its endorsement of President Obama."

Booker Rising response: Mr. Friday's op-ed can be read here. He argues that President Barack Obama's "hope and change" strategy has failed during the course of his term, and that the president hasn't fulfilled his campaign promise to eliminate unnecessary spending and change Washington, D.C.'s culture. Mr. Friday zeroes in on the United State's economic challenges and overreaching federal government, and asserts that Mr. Romney "is better suited to address the shortage in jobs and related problems that plague the country and the world."
