Bookeristas weigh in on what's next for the Republican Party, the Tea Party Movement, and American conservatism in general:
Create A Conservative Culture
Armstrong Williams, a conservative Republican commentator in D.C., writes: "We have always known that Democrats are better at politicking that
Republicans, but we have now affirmed that people really are buying what
the Democrats are selling: there can be no doubt about it now. Politics
is downstream from culture, and we simply don’t have a conservative
culture anymore. The task for Republicans is to create one, rather than
worrying about winning politics."
Appeal More To Black & Hispanic Voters
Savannah, a conservative Republican blogger in North Carolina, writes: "Our Republican Party was founded out of the abolition movement. We need
to go back to our roots and we need to invade the Democrat plantation
because sitting back and watching the liberals destroy the black and
Hispanic communities is STUPID."
Develop Higher Leadership
Coby Dillard, a conservative Republican and Project 21 member in Virginia, states: "In defeat, it is important for conservatives to remember that our nation still remains the greatest hope for many who yearn for the freedoms we too often take for granted.
It is no longer appropriate to sound the alarm of destruction — that argument has been heard and rejected. It now falls to us to work with President Obama to right our ship of state.
This does not require a compromise of our principles — only a higher level of leadership that cooperates when appropriate, voices opposition when necessary and displays respect always."
Battle The Mainstream Media
Savannah, a conservative Republican blogger in South Carolina, writes: "Last
but not least, we need to destroy the mainstream media. They have
betrayed us and betrayed the men and women who died so we could have
freedom of the press, and I'll be damned if I'll allow them to cover
Obama's ass for another four years. We need to have our Andrew Breitbart
moment and declare WAR."
