the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has condemned in totality the move by the
National Democratic Congress (NDC) to distribute free laptops in
tertiary institutions in the country. He indicated that the
laptops which were mostly distributed to NDC members of the Tertiary
Education Institution Network (TEIN) in the Region, was a desperate move
by the NDC to woo voters to its side. 'Whereas some government
departments which are the productive sectors of the economy are not
being resourced well to deliver, the NDC can afford to give out laptops
just to win students' votes', he noted."
Taxpayer dollars are being used only for people with a certain ideology: "The Regional Organizer said Nana Addo’s free
SHS [Secondary High School] policy would be all-inclusive where no Ghanaian child would be
discriminated against, unlike what the NDC was currently doing with its
laptop distribution solely to its TEIN members and party supporters."
