Asserts the South African moderate-liberal parliamentarian, who is also the Democratic Alliance's parliamentary leader. From The New Age (South Africa): "Addressing the delegates at the DA’s federal congress in Boksburg on
Saturday, Mazibuko said the ANC knew that 'Zuma’s presidency had been a
disaster', adding that the president had undermined every constitutional
right by blocking himself from public scrutiny. 'The ANC used every tactic to oppose the motion but it (the motion) [to debate President Jacob Zuma's use of US$23 million in taxpayer funds to upgrade his personal mansion] is
urgent and must be tabled immediately. We sent a very clear message to
the ANC this week to stop acting as if it is above the Constitution,'
Mazibuko said."
More: "She added that the DA had never been more helpful to the future of
South Africa than it was today. She said people from all walks of life
wanted the country to succeed, adding that the DA could help the nation
keep the promise of a non-racial state. 'The only way to end all the wrongs of the past is to give the DA a
chance for five years. I see a life of opportunities waiting for the
pupils of Limpopo who don’t have textbooks. They look at the DA to give
them hope, to fulfill the practical promises contained in our
Constitution,' Mazibuko said."
