Michael Steele Talks Smack About Reince Priebus: "At Least When I Was RNC Chairman, Republicans Won Elections!"

Steele, back when Priebus was standing in the cut.....

Ol' boy is getting his digs in. Responding to an article in The Daily Caller stating that Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus is weighing running for re-election as chairman in January, the previous RNC chairman stated on Twitter: "Say what you want about our spending while running the RNC, at least we won elections. THAT’S what I call an ROI [return on investment]."

You may recall that Priebus was once a staunch Steele deputy, before challenging him in the 2011 chairman election. Some Twitter conservatives weren't too pleased with Mr. Steele's slam. They called it a "nastygram", "classless", a "parody", and charged that he is comparing apples and oranges (midterm election cycle to a presidential election cycle).

However, other folks agreed with the moderate-conservative Republican. These folks said that Tuesday's results made them nostalgic for his leadership, and said that he delivered on the electoral front. People thanked him "for never shunning the Tea Party (and Gov Palin) like @Reince has done", as well as urged him to run for another term so he can "save the GOP".
