Asserts the conservative blogger in California, about controversy surrounding the conservative U.S. Senator answered a question about evolution: "Marco Rubio does NOT need to know the earth is billions of years old,
especially if a liberal is arguing that he should, as Alex Knapp does
in a Forbes article responding to some comments made by Rubio in a recent GQ interview.
Rubio is correct to say 'I think the age of the universe has zero to do
with how our economy is going to grow.'"
Mr. Myers, who subcribes to the Old Earth view, continues his commentary: "Our universe is a mystery, and all a scientist can do is describe what he best believes has happened, but he cannot tell you how or why. A description is not an
explanation, so don’t let anyone convince you otherwise because
Darwinian scientists pull that trick regularly. So in my view, the
scientific establishment could just show a little respect for differing
views and not attack those who don’t buy into the evolutionary view that
they say is required to be a rational human being (basically calling
you an ingrate if you don’t buy Darwinism), and if someone chooses to
believe that God created in six days, just allow them to have their view
and not berate them. There is so much we don’t know that it is the
height of arrogance to say because you know 1000 things, and the guy you
are criticizing knows 100 things, that he is stupid when there are
100,000 things that need to be known. You’re both stupid relative to
what needs to be known."
