From Joy Online (Ghana), about the center-right presidential candidate: "Nana Akufo-Addo said the president
and his team of ministers by announcing phantom jobs only add insult to
injury of the many unemployed youth who are desperately looking for
jobs. Speaking to students of the University of Development
Studies at the Navrongo Campus where he outlined his vision on job
creation, the NPP flagbearer said the president cannot continue to
rationalize the absence of jobs when he is always trumpeting Ghana’s
growth rate. 'The government adds insult to injury regularly by
making claims that only makes the suffering of the people worse. They
announce they have created 1.7 million jobs at a time when a ban has
been placed on public sector hiring and when they had sacked thousands
of young people from jobs because they were said to be NPP supporters."
