Booker Rising response: Nadra is right that most black Americans love Big Government. Some 69%, according to the Pew Research Center. However, the GOP need not target most black folks in order to increase its political competitiveness. It can tailor its appeal to the 21% of black Americans who favor a smaller government role, but about 2/3 of whom are voting Democratic for various reasons. This would entail the Republican Party leadership actually being competent and researching more about this 21% — demographic information to the minutest detail — and then aggressively going after this group now instead of Johnny-come-lately, election-year "outreach".
