The moderate-liberal columnist opines that the the GOP needs more female wisdom: "What the GOP needs to do — and fast — is start grooming young women who
can articulate some sort of conservative vision without the cold
contempt that turned off voters from Mitt Romney, his 'binders full of
women' notwithstanding. The right should do everything it can to promote
those it can find and keep them in place until they are fully tested
for the national stage. The party’s current stars are so dim, the elephants simply have to look
somewhere new."
Mr. Crouch continues his commentary: "Maybe it’s time for a lifeline from a young woman (or a whole posse of them) with new ideas. It couldn’t hurt, after all. Since the nation does not suffer from a dearth of strong-willed and
strong-minded women, there should be plenty waiting in the wings who are
brighter and more articulate than [conservative commentator Ann] Coulter and all her Fox News buddies.
There are women who are intelligent, passionate about their convictions
and articulate about their ideas. It’s time that we heard from them."
