Yesterday U.S. Senator-Designate Tim Scott told host Bob Schieffer on CBS's "Face The Nation" that a "rush to judgment" on the nation's plan to end gun violence would be "a bit premature." Asked by Mr. Schieffer what he thinks of the National Rifle Association's proposed plan to put armed guards in schools across the U.S., the conservative Republican said, "I think the president has just established a committee to take a serious, holistic look at what we need to do as a nation to make sure that our kids are safe."
