Monday, February 25: Mayor Cory Booker Speaks In Vero Beach, Florida
The moderate-liberal Democratic mayor of Newark, N.J. will be part of a local Distinguished Speakers Series. From TCPalm: "Mayor Booker's innovative ideas for improving Newark’s public schools as
they struggle to meet the challenges of a low-income and disadvantaged
urban population, coupled with his energy and oratory skills, will
undoubtedly ignite a spark within the Vero Beach community to think
outside the box when it comes to educating our children."
More about the event featuring Mayor Booker: "The lecture will take place in the Stark Mainstage [at the Riverside Theatre, at 3250 Riverside Park Drive] at 4 and 6 p.m.,
with a live simulcast in the Waxlax theatre. A reception will be held
between the two performances. Each lecture ends with a Q&A
segment, and attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance
through the Distinguished Lecturer Series' dedicated website, which is
new this season: www.RiversideLecturerSeries.com. Tickets are $85 for seating in the Stark theatre and $60 for the live
simulcast offered in the Waxlax theatre. For ticket information call
the Riverside box office at 772-231-6990."
