Dick Cheney Shades Condi Rice (Again)

The Daily Mail (UK) provides the deets: "Former Vice President Dick Cheney has openly criticized former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for failing to support his proposal in 2007 for a unilateral strike to stop Syria's nuclear program. Mr Cheney spoke out against his former colleague in a new documentary [called 'The World According To Dick Cheney'], accusing Rice of being on 'the wrong side' of the issue by recommending that President George W. Bush rely on the United Nations and not use military action. The longtime Republican insider spoke candidly about his political career in the film and made no apologies for the controversial decisions during his tenure, stating bluntly, 'If you want to be loved, go be a movie star.'"

Of course, Sista Condi has a response: "In response to Cheney's scathing criticism that her recommendation was wrong, Rice, who now teaches at Stanford University, simply stated, 'The situation turned out exactly how it should have.' President Bush has written that he was hesitant about using military action since U.S. intelligence analysts were not convinced the evidence proved Syria was launching a nuclear program. 'If the facility was really just an innocent research lab, Syrian President Assad would have been screaming at the Israelis on the floor of the United Nations,' he wrote."
